TLT (Troop Leadership Training) is the first step, and as the name implies, is held at the Unit level. From there youth are encouraged to attend NYLT.

National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide leadership skills and experience you can use in your home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what he must KNOW, and what he must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership.

WHEN: Dec. 27, 2008 - Jan. 1, 2009

WHERE: Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation

REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least First Class, 12 years old at the time of the course, and his Scoutmaster must have completed either Scoutmastership Fundamentals or Scoutmaster Position Specific Training

COST: $135.00 if paid on or before Dec. 7th. After Dec. 6th the cost is $155.00
